My mum did a clearout of her closet some weeks back, and as I was helping her, I discovered so many gems. This vintage skirt was one of them. I love how flowy it is, and the colour is just me. I have so many other pieces that mum kindly gave to me, hopefully I'll share them with you as we go along! :) ..xo

The colour of this skirt is gorgeous. I love getting old hand-me-downs from my mum, especially when they're similar to current (over priced!) high street trends- I could imagine this skirt selling in Topshop for £40. Can't wait to see what else she gave you!
You look fabulous!!!

I love this skirt! It suits you so well, I'm glad you got the pictures up :) xx
Love the outfit Shirley!!...x
Such a lovely outfit! This has inspired me to ask my mum if she has any maxi skirts lying around still. I remember when I was little laughing about how she used to wear long skirts and belts around her waist - little did I know it would come back in fashion! x
I love the skirt. I always encourage my friends to look at their mums closets because I always find such good things most of which are unique!

hmn, nice. would have loved 2 c d look without d jacket (probably with a small tank). the skirt nicely matches your bag zippers and jacket buttons. Vintage fashion is just interesting.

I love it, it's such a well put together look and I really like the bustier. Mum's always have gems in their wardrobe, saves you a fortune on buying the high street version and you have the original.
strut mode
I just started following you about a month ago and I love this look, just as the others! You always look so polished and put together, but the outfits are still interesting and beautiful.

was wondering where that skirt was from when you came by last week. very nice
Such a cool look, love the jacket on you :)
Wow Shirley..You look ah-mazing..You truly are my Fashion Idol of this moment XD.
The skirt is fab - I picked up something quite similar when I was thrifting in LA, but I prefer the full length of your skirt, its so much more elegant.

honey, you showed up and out with this outfit!!

yes I love love vintage skirts right about now! wearing a lot of mine as dresses currently!
nothing of it! I think blogs like this are a beautiful reflection on the times and of our socio-cultural attitudes towards sartorial identity. (sorry...the inner fashion-geek coming out there! lol)
i would love you to style a shoot for me at some point? I'll definately be in touch, i relocate to London permanantly in a few weeks! =D
take care and keep on doing what you're doing!!
