The colour of this skirt is gorgeous. I love getting old hand-me-downs from my mum, especially when they're similar to current (over priced!) high street trends- I could imagine this skirt selling in Topshop for £40. Can't wait to see what else she gave you!

Such a lovely outfit! This has inspired me to ask my mum if she has any maxi skirts lying around still. I remember when I was little laughing about how she used to wear long skirts and belts around her waist - little did I know it would come back in fashion! x

I love the skirt. I always encourage my friends to look at their mums closets because I always find such good things most of which are unique!

hmn, nice. would have loved 2 c d look without d jacket (probably with a small tank). the skirt nicely matches your bag zippers and jacket buttons. Vintage fashion is just interesting.

I love it, it's such a well put together look and I really like the bustier. Mum's always have gems in their wardrobe, saves you a fortune on buying the high street version and you have the original.

I just started following you about a month ago and I love this look, just as the others! You always look so polished and put together, but the outfits are still interesting and beautiful.

The skirt is fab - I picked up something quite similar when I was thrifting in LA, but I prefer the full length of your skirt, its so much more elegant.

Have a great weekend. Xxx

nothing of it! I think blogs like this are a beautiful reflection on the times and of our socio-cultural attitudes towards sartorial identity. (sorry...the inner fashion-geek coming out there! lol)

i would love you to style a shoot for me at some point? I'll definately be in touch, i relocate to London permanantly in a few weeks! =D

take care and keep on doing what you're doing!!
