Shirley's Top 5 : MAC Lipsticks. (...+Drugstore Dupes)

Some time ago I showed you This Post, where I chatted about my Top 5 blushes at the time. A lot of you liked the idea of the post, so today I will be sharing with you my Top 5 MAC Lipsticks! I will also show you some dupes I have in my collection, that are closely matched to these. The dupes are not the exact same as the MAC lippies, but bare similar qualities, and can be used, in most cases to achieve the same look! :)


LIPSTICK SWATCHES

I swatched the lispticks on my lips so you can have a better look. My favourite MAC lippies are on the top lip, while their dupes are on the bottom lip. Flash was used.

I've been talking about going to see Black Swan for ages now, ever since I first saw the ...I finally did today and it was amazing!! It's a psychological thriller starring Natalie Portman, who plays a ballet dancer Nina. Nina wins the lead to the very famous play Swan Lake, and she is perfect for the role of the White Swan (soft, delicate) but slowly loses her mind as she becomes more like the Black Swan (dark). Natalie Portman is such an incredible actress and her perfromance was very captivating!

As I was off to the movies I opted for a casual outfit, and accessorised it with a head scarf, tied into a little bow round my hair. I love how it came out! This chunky cardi is one of my most recent buys from Primark (I have a few other lovely things I will be showing you as time goes by!). It's really nice and comfy, so I threw it over my jeggings and cami, tied a belt, and popped some pumps on! :) ..xo

Oh how I LOVE this blazer. So chic and classy!

My lovely siblings came into town yesterday to spend the weekend with me! We went for my Birthday Breakfast at Frankie & Benny's, a few of my friends came too! It was fun and the food was amazing! Kezia and I then went shopping, she bought some cute things, you can watch her talking about them in the second part of my Birthday Haul, ! :)
This is what I wore! A chiffon blouse, paired up with a lovely peachy blazer and leather shorts to add an edgy twist to the whole outfit. :) ..xo

It's my Birthday YAY! I'm so excited, hehe! I've finally hit Adulthood and I'm just so grateful to have seen another year. It's been a magical few hours, spent with my friends who came at midnight with gifts and stayed to make a lovely meal (Massive Midnight Snack, more like haha!) for me! 

We're continuing the celebrations later this evening, when we have dinner, and I wanted to show you my outfit. 

I love this pair of jeans. I bought it on whim late last year from Zara. I didn't own anything like it before and thought it would be a nice challenge to work with it...being a bold colour and all! 
Here I paired it with a blouse, and a pair of open toe wedges! :)

For my makeup, I'm sporting the classic hollwood look... a winged out eye-liner (some lashes for oomph!) and a matte red lipstick!

1. I have survived a week without my phone. In my hustle and bustle to catch my train last week I forgot it at home! I must admit, I thought I'd be able to make do without it for a couple of days, but I'm seriously missing the convenience of having it! If only my sister would hurry and get it to me already... -__-

2. Booked my tickets for IMATS London at the the end of the month! Yay! I actually haven't been before and I'm looking forward to it. I've read blogs and watched videos about past shows, and seems like an exciting thing! I'm going to be attending the show on the 29th (still not sure what time I'll be going, but I will update you on !). Looking forward to seeing some of you there!

3. Grey's Anatomy... That show. :O
Only just got into it in the past week, and I'm obsessed. I love dramas, and I think this is one that everyone should watch! I'm always curious to know what happens next! I watched the whole of season 1 (back to back) one day of last week! Haha! 

4. I have so many ideas for posts and videos, and I can't wait till my exams are over so I can really get stuck in to making them! :)

5. I've made a conscious effort to surround myself in the midst of positive people, in the real world and cyber world... People who speak words of encouragement into the lives of others and help sharpen them. It's important that each person realize their truest worth and associate themselves only with people who value it.

6. First day back tomorrow, eeesh. Fun times.

Antiqued Eyes.

Antiqued is one of my favourite eyeshadows by MAC. It's a bronzy ash brown with a bit of a maroony wine undertone (hope that makes sense lol)! During the day I like to wear it with a peachy cheek and lip, and at night time amp it up with a deep plum lip shade!

1. The colour red is still lingering. I thought that by the end of the Christmas season I would have gotten over my slight obsession with it, but it still remains! I've been sporting Ruby Woo almost everyday, and I'm currently in love with Saucy Polish.

2. Arghh. Still can't believe that my little holiday at home has come to an end. I've loved being at home, having cooked food all the time (thanks mum!) and just spending time with my family, and most of all, my little Nathaniel. Can you believe I still get teary eyed when I have to say good-bye? I'm such a baby. Lol!

3. I'm off to Nottingham tomorrow. I have to go and prepare for semester two (which is in a week), and also for those pesky exams I have around the corner. I can't wait till they're over, I don't like exam season, and oh golly, why does the damn thing always have to be around my birthday?!?!

4. I'm 21 in 17 days. eeeek!
Still deciding how I'm going to celebrate! I was going to go to Paris, but I'm postponing it till later in the year because of exams (yada yada yada)! Might just have dinner, and then see a movie..hmmm, we'll see!

5. Spotify is my new best friend. I love searching for old and new albums of my favourite artists and just immersing myself into them. Music is wonderful. My current faves: The Script (Seriously... GO and listen to Science & Faith, LOVE!), Daft Punk, Wynter Gordon, Frank Sinatra and Fred Hammond!

6. I'm getting used to the thought of being in 2011. You're probably going to think this sounds cliché, but I have a good feeling about this year.
2010 was good, but this year's going to be better. 
I can feel it. :)
