Sunshine.

Sunshine hue sunshine grew
Shines its rays on me and you
Sunshine light sunshine bright
Not a dark cloud close in sight
Sunshine thrive sunshine imbibe
Sweet healing rays on all your tribe
Sunshine healing sunshine feeling
It’s the essence of our being
Sunshine parade sunshine displayed
In its factualistic brocade,
Sunshine tranced sunshine danced
Giving our souls such sweet romance
Sunshine dove sunshine above
Thanks for your sweet rays of love
So sun-kissed and pure sun-blessed
Sunshine blocks out all the mist
So sunshine mellow sunshine yellow
You’ve made me very lucky.

I just love that Poem. Thought I'd share it with you. The sun has indeed been shining, so it's been bliss. I'd been waiting for the perfect day to whip out this Maxi, and today (yesterday) just seemed right. My lovely sister Kezia shot these, we had a lot of fun doing so. I messed around with the curves and levels on PS to get this effect, I thought it brought the photos to life. I hope you like them! :)

VV Brown.
Not only does she have a beautiful voice, singer song writer Miss VV Brown is an incredibly stylish lady and it wasn't long before I was to do post dedicated to her and her amazing self. Her outfits are a mix of Vintage chic pieces and Retro elements, and I just love it.
Below is a Hair Tutorial I filmed inspired by her trademark hair style, Warning I'm a bit ditzy in it! :D
I also talk a bit about my outfit! :)

Colourful State of Mind.
Saturday, 19 March 2011
Woke up to the sun shining through my window pane. I could feel the excitement creeping in. It's been a while since we've seen a day as bright as this, so I donned a bright coloured top with equally bright coloured jeans to celebrate! On my lips I have impassioned lipstick by MAC. I forgot how nice this lipstick was, and thanks to Muhsine posting about it, I went looking for mine in my stash. I've muted it a bit by using Soar (MAC) lip liner beforehand. I really want Spring to come already! lol! ..xo

The Margot - Primark's imitation.
Friday, 18 March 2011
It's almost as if the designers at Primark HQ read my "Shirley Shares" post a few weeks back (Not that they read my blog ofcourse, lol!), where I talked about being in Love with this Margot Lace dress by Erdem (Pictured below). They came out with a copy. It's not exactly the same, The Margot is lace all over, while the copy has it only on the body, and is sleeveless. It's so obvious where the inspiration came from though. Being the not so rich girl (The Erdem dress is £1,960..cor blimey!) who loves the odd Primark purchase, I couldn't let this one slip by. It was only £15. YES.
But this means I'd have to sacrifice something in next weeks budget...what do you Economists call this again?
Ah yes, Opportunity Cost... how I detest thee.
It's a beautiful dress nonetheless. :) xo

Can I just give a quick mention to these lovely girls, who helped lift my spirits earlier today, as I posted on about feeling really down.
I love them and it's nice to know I can always have a chat with them if I needed to! :')

Thanks girls!

Olivia Palermo is most definately one of my style icons. Her effortless chic style and beauty are just awe-inspiring.
You can then imagine my excitement when I came across this beautiful photograph of her, posing for Haute Muse Magazine. I instantly fell in love with her makeup look - a soft smokey eye paired with a natural pink lip - and thought of filming a tutorial for it!
I went rummaging through my makeup collection, in search of products I could use to recreate the look. I found some gems, high end and drugstore and here's what I created...

How about we grab a coffee and go Vintage Shopping?
Sunday, 13 March 2011
Yesterday Hannah and I met up in town to grab some starbucks and do a little bit of shopping. She's also a blogger, and she studies here in Notts too. We had been talking for ages about meeting up, and we finally did! She's such a sweetheart! We visited , a lovely Vintage Store (where most of these photos were taken), and there were so many nice things! I really had to keep myself from spending! Lol!

Ruby Woo and The Park.
Saturday, 12 March 2011
Ahhh! The mighty power of The Tripod and Self Timer! :D I've been playing around with my camera settings, shot these with the vivid setting, so it really brought out the colours. I also filmed the outfit differently (Video Below), and I'm quite pleased with the way they came out! I usually
I felt like experimenting with my outfit today, so I opted for this red body con skirt and paired it with this over size stripy top. I'm wearing Ruby Woo on my lips, and my hair was easily swept into a bun!
What do you think? :) ..xo

TWEEDily dee!
Wednesday, 9 March 2011
I've been wanting a Tweed jacket for the longest time, and so when I peeped at this one in a Vintage Store in town (), I just had to get it. It reminds me of the ones daddy used to wear. Daddy's a very sharp dresser, and I sometimes borrow his clothes, and feminise them with skinny belts, leggings and the like! hehe!
When picking out a bag to go with the outfit, I saw that the detail in the button on the jacket complemented the pattern on this bag I bought from Primark some time ago. I think I've said this before, but Primark are coming out with a lot of lovely things, and gosh, they're so affordable. It's hard to believe sometimes! :) ..xo
