A spot of Retail Therapy.

Friday, 28 May 2010

What better way to treat myself after a gruelling Two hours and Ten minutes of Pure Mathematics eh?

I had my Algebra Exam today ...One word. Dreadful.
It was pretty tough, and I found it a lot more challenging than the other exams that i've had so far!
I'm just hoping that I did okay, but I know I'm going to have to work my butt off to do very well in the exams I have left...just to balance things!

Anyhoozles, to cheer myself up, I went into town for some frappuccino and a spot of retail therapy!
I initially just wanted to pick up some false eyelashes and glue, but as usual I couldn't resist, I just had to shop.
...afterall, I deserved to.

Here are the things I hauled!! :)

MAC

Get-Away Bronze.
A shimmery light bronze blush from MACs new To The Beach Collection. Laaaarvly!

The Queen of all eyelash glues! Spoken about and used in so many YouTube Videos and Blogposts... hard to believe I've only just acquired a Tube!
Duo Eyelash Adhesive.
Thanks to my lovely Dolls on  for directing me to where I could purchase it! :)

Up until now i've been using one by Claire's, but I needed a change!

I also bought a pair of bargain lashes from Wilko!

Primark

When I saw this Tiger top, I instantly thought of Sammi Maria! It's just so her style. Hehe!
I love the the gold, black and cream combo! I just had to get it!
On my way up to Cash &Wrap I spotted this cute black clutch with a chain handle and a gold set of bangles!

How awesome are the studded shoulders??

I also bought three pretty dresses to add to my Summer Wardrobe!

A Coral Grecian style One Shoulder.

A lovely Blue and Mint Green Beach dress.

and a Vintage looking Polka Dot Boob Tube Mini, with gold buttons!

A Very Summery Outfit of the Day! :)

Monday, 24 May 2010

The weather has been very lovely these past few days, and I've been taking advantage of it! It's not very often we get to enjoy such temperatures here in Britain, so we have to make the most of it while it's here!

I've had my Gap Maxi Dress for Two years, and I fancied a bit of a change, so I snipped off a few inches and turned it into a cute flowy mini dress! I paired it with my Gladiator wedges, and to finish of the look, I accessorized the whole outfit with a brown waist belt and some pearly jewellery!

Below is the bag I'll be carrying today! It's a brown leather Tote from Faith! I've had this bag for a while, but recently Faith went into administration! Womp! Womp! Lol!

Dress ~ Gap
Vest ~H&M
Belt ~ H&M
Wedges ~ Primark
Jewellery ~ Primark
Bag ~ Faith

Coral Polish.

Coral Polish, Eyeko. (£3.50)

Recently, I was approached by Eyeko, kindly asking if i'd like to try out some of their new products. I accepted to do so ...what would I lose right?

Coral Polish was one of the products I received. It's darker than most other Corals i've seen. It is a lovely colour, however it was a bit of a mish applying it. I found that the formula was too thick (...probably why it took ages to dry!) and the brush was quite flimsy. I did soldier on and the result was good.

Here I applied Two coats...

Face of the Day/Night! :)

Wednesday, 12 May 2010

I opted for one of my usual everyday looks today!

I kept my face fairly neutral. I applied my foundation all over my face with my stippling brush (MACs Studio Fix & 187), powdered it with MACs MSF in Dark and blended it in with a big Kabuki (Illamasqua's Body Kabuki), then I brushed on a peach blush (MACs Peaches.)

A pop of gold eyeshadow on my lids (MACs Goldmine), a tan eye shadow in the crease (MACs Texture) and on the outer corners, a dark Matte Brown eyeshadow (Sleek's Storm palette). I followed by lining my upper lash line with a black liquid eye liner (L'Oreal's Superliner), and the water line a Kajal liner (Nocturnal Kajal by Sleek)! Just for that little bit of Drama, I put on a pair of wispy-like falsies (...Bargain Lashes from Wilko!).

I lined my lips with a brown lip pencil (MACs BBQ) and coated them with a soft nude peachy lipstick (MACs Shy Girl), topped off with a smidgen of a peachy brown gloss (MACs Entice).

Oh, and just in case you're wondering, my hair was Roller Set with 64mm Rollers, Sprayed with a bit of holding spray, and clipped at the back for a Wavey bob-like look! :)

My friends and I organised a Jamming/Open Mic sesh at our Local Pub! I wanted to go for a look that was fit for the daytime as well as the night, so I wore a Grecian inspired Dress (River Island), a pair of leggings (H&M) and my Boyfriend Blazer (New Look)! I accesorised my outfit with my bangles and bracelets, and my favourite pair of earrings, all from Primark. I wore a pair of Gold sandals (not pictured.).

I performed Norah Jones' "Don't know why"! There were other amazing performances too!

It was awesome and I had so much fun! Hehe!

Barbie.

Sunday, 9 May 2010

oOoO! Such a Girlie colour! Hehe!

Barbie Nailed Polish, Sleek Makeup. (£2.99)

At the Sleek Makeup Event, I was instantly drawn to the Nail Varnishes they had on display, and I remember I and a few other bloggers went swatch-o-manic! Haha!

The colours of the varnishes were very vibrant, and I was so happy to find that I recieved some in my Goody Bag!

Barbie was one of them.

I applied two coats of it today. The colour is beautiful, and it was easy to apply and at a bargain price of only 3 quid, you can't go wrong!

TOPSHOP Makeup and H&M Haul.

Thursday, 6 May 2010

After the Sleek Event, Sammi, Hannah and I headed to Oxford Street for a bit of shopping!

We went into Topshop to have a little nosey around the New Makeup!

I bought a Blush in Neon Rose (£6.00) along with the Sun Star Eyeshadow Trio (£8.00), both from the SS '10 Collection.

Neon Rose is a really pink creamy blush. It's smooth to apply and the intensity can be built up, depending on what you're going for. I've been into a lot of cream based products lately, including shadows. They are really easy to work with!

I love this Trio. It reminds me of the mineral trios MAC have. The colours are beautiful and are very pigmented! The pinky red is just Gorgeous!

We also popped into H&M!

Green Ruffle Dress (£9.99)

It was love at first sight when my eyes locked onto this green dress! I've been looking for a dress this colour! It's so cute and it will be perfect on a Sunny Summer's day! Just look at the ruffle detail, too Cute!

Red Striped Tee (£7.99)

I also picked up this Tee, to go with my Harem Pants and Fedora!

I have spent so much money in the last couple of weeks! Methinks a Spending Ban is needed! lol!

Did anything catch your eye from the new Makeup Line at Topshop??

SLEEK Makeup.

Yesterday, I and a few other Beauty Bloggers had the joy of attending an event organised by Sleek Makeup. It was such an amazing day and we all had an incredible time!

We were pampered with Cocktails and lovely Savouries as we swatched and played around with a few of the new upcoming products. We also got to suggest ideas ...and most fun of all BOWL! hehe!

They were so generous ...we got to leave with a massive goody bag filled with all sorts... A Makeup Book,  Brushes, Lip tints, Nail Varnishes and the New Limited Edition iDivine Palette ...Circus!

I was lucky enough to be a runner up of the Bowling Competition that was held, and so I get a Year's Supply of Sleek Makeup...How Exciting! Below is just a little taster..

I will definitely be trying all of these products out (the ones I havn't already), and will let all of you know which ones are my favourites!

Thanks for stopping by!

Madre.

Tuesday, 4 May 2010

I love my Madre. It's so nice to be with her and talk about everything! I did her makeup today! All the colours on her eyes are from the Sleek Bohemian Palette. Her cheeks were lightly bronzed/blushed (MACs Format Blush) and her lips were coated with a soft shimmery lippy (17 Honey Blossom) and a Coral Lipgloss (MACs Lychee Luxe) over it! She looks Beautiful, don't you agree? :D

Would you like a tutorial for this look? :)

My Precious Ones.

So I'm back in London. I missed my Family so much, I didn't realise until I moved away how much I love spending time with them, especially my siblings...Alan's wise words, Kezia's constant (and infectious) Laughter and Nathaniel's Craziness! haha! The weather was really lovely so I took Kezia and Nate to the park to play. It was really fun. I also got to play with Kezia's new Camera, a Nikon D60 I believe, and managed to snap a few moments. Such a great Camera, thinking of investing in one for myself!

*Sigh* ...It's good to be home. :)
