Hey my lovelies, hope you're all having a good evening (Morning, or afternoon, wherever you are!)! :)

Just wanted to share my excitement about being featured as Modcloth Blogger of the Moment! Yay! Some of my current favourites have been found through MBM, and I was so flattered when I was approached by them to be featured! They were also kind enough to name a Dress after me! Ahh! So chuffed!

I'm so happy to have a loving family that love and care for me. I'm happy to have a select few friends who encourage me, and who are real enough to tell me how it is, but with my best interests at heart.
I'm happy to be of good health. I'm happy I have the opportunity to get a good education. I'm happy that I have Love. I'm happy that I have God.

I'm overwhelmed with the love and support that come from the people that read this blog and follow my other networks. Thanks for sharing my journey with me. :)

Just felt like I needed to count my blessings, as often, too much time is spent worrying, and it only takes a moment to remember that there are still good things in my life. xo

Nice, Mavala. ( + Half Moon Nails Tutorial)

I was doing my routine nail polish change and thought to do something a little different. I had seen a few photos of and some others sporting this Half Moon Nail Look, and I wanted to try it. It's my first time, so it's not as perfect, but I still like it. I filmed a tutorial of how to do it, just in case you wanted to give it a go! :)

This polish is a lovely orangey/red from Mavala. I love the texture, and applying it was simple and fuss free! At only £2.99 a bottle, I'd say it's a very pocket friendly nail polish! I really like it! :)

Rust & Lace.

These Rust trousers are one of my recent buys (nabbed it in the Topshop sale!). I've paired it with one of my new lace beauties, with the peter pan collar. So cute! I just couldn't resist buying it! I have lots of outfits formed in my head with it already! Would you like a Lookbook featuring them? :)

Oh and guys, I haven't been soo excited about a pair of shoes since those Zara Court shoes... These Urban Outfitters Patent Loafers are my new Love! Hehe!

I know I've been lacking with the posts, thanks to that thing we call Life. But not to worry, I'm a bit more organised now, so yay for new posts! I still have to do the giveaway so keep your eyes peeled!

I've got Strawberry legs, as calls it. Haha! I used to be so conscious about them, the scars, birth marks and the goddam knees! But I came to love them! They are a Perfect Imperfection. :)

Here's a dress I purchased recently from Topshop! It reminds me of those shift dresses the girls used to wear in the 70s! I paired it with these killer leopard print wedges and one of my mum's old clutches! You like?

meek~n~mild ...the meaning behind the blog name.



There was a hymn my Grandmother used to sing to me when I was growing up...

"Gentle Jesus, Meek and Mild."

I always loved having her around, and as we rarely got to see each other (We live on Two different Continents you see), I'd play or read the hymn whenever I thought of her. I started this blog randomly around the fall in 2008, Grandma was in London at the time and because I didn't know what to call it, I decided to call it "meek and mild". I didn't even know what the blog was going to be about, I only started posting properly in Summer 2009.

I often get questions along the lines of "But why the name Meek n Mild? You seem anything but." or "What's the meaning of your blog name?". The latter is a more polite way of asking, and so I go into the long explanation of the meaning behind the name. I know I'm far away from being meek and mild, but there's nothing wrong in living my life everyday striving to be like a person I have faith in.

It only occurred to me moments ago, that I hadn't posted about this, and I thought I should.

Ooo I'm one happy bunny this morning!! I woke up to some great news! I'm going to ride this happy feeling for as long as I can! :D

Here's what I wore yesterday! This top is so me - I love polka dots! I paired it with this midi skirt I got from Mango in their sale recently. I was off to town to run a few errands and the like, and I knew I would be paying a visit to the Cinema, so kept the outfit simple and practical, but styled it up a bit with a gold watch, red satchel (I adore this!) and oxford brogues. 

Oh and by the way, I filmed an update (Ramble about my Outfit & Hair!) video last night , to watch!
