The Clothes Show London.

Sunday, 27 June 2010

On Friday Afternoon, My friend Steph and I Strutted our way down to Earl's Court for what is known as the "Ultimate Girls Day Out" ...The Clothes Show, London!

It was a fun day of Clothes, shoes and makeup, followed by The Style Awards, hosted by The George Lamb.

We got to rub shoulders with a few celebs (Teehee) and watch the lovely Paloma Faith, YouTube Sensation Esmee Denters and new group Wanted perform! It was awesome!

An amazing fashion show was put on, which incorporated some dance, and had pieces inspired by different parts of the world, and eras!

It was soo much fun!

Hope you like the pictures I managed to snap! :D

Baked To Last.

Saturday, 26 June 2010

I had the joy of attending this event along with a few other bloggers yesterday.
It was held in the Penthouse Suite of The very Posh Westbury Hotel, in Mayfair, London.

The setting was just divine.
The suite overlooked a lovely terrace, and there was a table set up with drinks, appetisers and cupcakes (...we got to decorate our own! ^.^).

There was a little talk about the new products coming to stands (Hair Care, Vitamin C and Baked-To-Last ranges), and a demonstration using some pieces from the new Baked-To-Last collection by make-up artist Chase Aston.

A representative from the ECPAT UK charity came along and talked to us about the campaign they're running in partnership with The Body Shop, to raise awareness and to help prevent child trafficking for sexual exploitation in the UK.

"The Body Shop has produced a special campaign product ‘Soft Hands, Kind Heart Hand Cream’ which can be purchased at The Body Shop stores nationwide or online at www.bodyshop.co.uk."

All in all it was a really nice morning and we were generously sent away with a goody bag with pieces from the collection!

I will be trying them out, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled for upcoming posts of swatches, looks and reviews! :)

"Summer makeup must be breathable and not heavy."

I remember reading this somewhere, perhaps on another blog, a tweet or a magazine, can't quite remember, but it stuck with me!

I actually agree, summer makeup should be breathable!

As the weather has become increasingly hotter over the past few days, i've just found it a lot easier to go with little or no makeup! A swipe of eyeliner, a tad of mascara and Carmex for my lips has been my routine!

I'm still on the hunt and testing out a few products, to come up with a good summer makeup routine, one that is easy to apply, and can stay on for a long period of time, and most importantly look natural and flawless! I've heard and read a lot about tinted moisturisers, glowing powders and illuminators and i'm looking into getting my hands on some! Any recommendations??

I believe in Pink.

...and blue. :)

I'm sporting Sleek's True Colour Lipstick in Fuchsia.
I just love this lipstick. The moisturising texture, beautiful pink shade and the way it looks on.

My cheeks were adorned with a hint of Plum Foolery by MAC, and to add a bit of character to my wing, I swept a bit of a blue glitter eye liner on it (Sleek's Carribean).

Fuchsia Lippy - £3.69
Blue Glitter Liner - £3.69
Plum Foolery Blush - £16.50

I didn't feel like braving the cold bare chested today, so I wore a scarf ...my blue Arabic scarf that I purchased on Oxford Street some time ago.

I hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping by! :)
